Social Media Marketing & Branding Research Series
This is an introduction to a series of blog posts I'll be publishing. I'm interested in how businesses show branding on social media platforms. I will research how to show a brand without using the logo as an indicator, which is sometimes not suitable for the platform such as Instagram. Some areas include voice and tone (sarcastic, humourous), style (colours, fonts, photography), text (copy-write and conversations), and values (sustainability, culture).
I want to learn how to write and visualise social media posts to be instantly identifiable as a brand's presence. I want to uncover the reasoning and psychology behind making images and copy-writing for posts that lead to a brand's image. I think this knowledge would be useful for a professional digital marketing job as running social media accounts is often a job requirement and all content must be branded.
